Biggest advantage of choosing Costa Rica as a medical tourism destination is that the country is easily accessible from US & Canada, there are frequent flights available. Also visa is not required to travel to Costa Rica, only a valid passport is required. Private hospitals are accredited here and most surgeons are educated in US. Apart from this Costa Rica is a tourists attraction also thus a medical tourist has the benefit of medical care and holiday abroad, still end up saving money if compared with treatment in home country. Though Spanish is largely spoken language, doctors and medical staff is fluent in English and language will not be problem at all.
